“I had suffered with a sore neck and shoulders and painful hips for several years. I’m a regular runner and it was impacting my enjoyment and ability to run. After seeing the team my condition has improved hugely and I can now run and go about normal life without discomfort. They took time to explain the cause of my pain and make me feel comfortable.”

Chiropractor-Led Massage in Worcester
What sets our massage apart from a high-street or spa treatment is that it happens inside a working chiropractic clinic. Many people search for a “chiropractor that does massage” or “deep tissue massage near me” because they want soft-tissue work backed by a real clinical understanding of how the body moves — and that is exactly what we offer.
Our massage therapists work hand-in-hand with our chiropractors. If you are already a chiropractic patient, your therapist will liaise with your clinician so your massage supports your wider treatment plan. If you come for massage alone and we spot something that needs a clinician’s eye, we can refer you in-house — no waiting lists, no second trip across town.
This joined-up approach makes our massage especially effective for:
- Chronic back, neck and shoulder tension linked to posture or desk work
- Sports injuries and muscle strains that need targeted, remedial deep-tissue work
- Recovery between chiropractic adjustments, keeping muscles relaxed so your adjustments hold for longer

Massage Therapy FAQs
What is the difference between sports, deep tissue and remedial massage?
Sports massage focuses on recovery, flexibility and injury prevention; deep tissue work releases chronic knots and deep-seated tension; remedial massage targets a specific problem area. In practice your therapist will often blend approaches within a single session, tailored to what your body needs that day.
Do I need to be a chiropractic patient first?
No. You can book a massage appointment directly without seeing a chiropractor first. If our therapists spot an underlying issue, they can easily refer you to one of our clinicians in the same building.
Will the massage hurt?
Deep tissue and remedial work can feel intense in places, but it should never be unbearable — your therapist always works to your comfort level and checks in as they go. Most people feel looser and more relaxed straight afterwards.
How often should I have a massage?
It depends on your goal. For a specific injury or acute tension, a short course of weekly sessions often works well; for general maintenance and stress relief, many clients come monthly. Your therapist will recommend what is right for you.
Can massage help with back pain, sciatica or headaches?
Massage can be very effective for muscular back and neck pain, postural tension and tension-type headaches. Where symptoms point to something that needs clinical assessment — such as nerve-related sciatica — our therapists work alongside our chiropractors so you get the right care.
What should I wear, and do you have parking?
Wear comfortable clothing. For the treatment you may be asked to undress to your comfort level, with drapes provided at all times for your privacy and warmth. We are in St Johns with easy access and free allocated parking.
How much is a massage and how long is it?
A 60-minute massage appointment is £65 — focused, hands-on treatment with no hidden fees and no up-selling.

“I was a bit sceptical, but due to pain and lack of mobility I gave it a try. Money well spent — I’m converted. Easy to talk to, relaxed, and really knows his business. After six sessions I feel great.”

How Does Massage Work?
One mechanism by which massage works is increasing local blood flow, promoting healing and repair of damaged tissue.
The physical pressure applied during a massage generates an inflammatory response, where your body drives additional blood to the area being massaged. Often, this is visible as an area of redness.
This increase in blood flow helps your body to repair any damage and can improve flexibility of tissues. There is also some truth to the idea that it can help flush out toxins accumulating within a muscle.
Another mechanism is stimulation of nerves within muscle tissue.
Physical pressure on a muscle triggers nerve activity. When your brain detects this activity, a reflex is activated, leading your brain to tell the muscle to relax (this is similar to the way dry-needling works).
Types of Massage Therapy
There are a range of types of massage therapy and both Hannah and Harry are well qualified to select and provide the most appropriate for each individual.
Often massage for stress relief will be gentler and more widespread than massage for a particular muscle injury.
It is quite normal for your therapist to combine approaches for best effect, starting with a gentle stress-reductive approach before homing in on the symptomatic area.
For existing chiro patients, your therapist will liaise with your chiropractor for optimal results.
