Worcester Chiropractor Beth Rawlings has been endorsed by the Pelvic Partnership as a trusted practitioner who can provide effective treatment for pelvic girdle pain.
Beth is the only chiropractor in Worcestershire to have achieved this recognition.
Pelvic pain is one of the most common complications of pregnancy.
Sometimes known as SPD (symphysis pubis dysfunction) or PGP (pelvic girdle pain), pelvic pain can occur both during and after pregnancy. It is a result of stress on the pelvic joints and muscles from carrying or delivering a baby and affects up to 70% of pregnant women.
Exercises and manual therapy can provide relief from pelvic pain, although providing manual therapy to expectant mothers requires specialist care.
All of our chiropractors are trained to treat pregnant women, but this is a particular clinical interest of Beth’s. Beth has undertaken significant levels of post-graduate education in this specialism.
The Pelvic Parternship is a charity that provides advice and support to women suffering with pelvic pain. They also provide a list of recommended practitioners.
Getting on this list means a practitioner has been endorsed by at least two patients. In Beth’s case, a local midwife recommended her to the Pelvic Partnership as well.
